History of the Fresno Glove Strap: The Fresno Glove Strap was going to be named the "JoJo Strap" Named after the member of the Black Smoke Crew who invented this simple yet very needed design of a glove strap to hang out of the way of your gear. Today other companies who also see the great idea that came from the Black Smoke Crew copy the Fresno Glove Strap and some even continue to keep the name. Black Smoke Apparel is where the Fresno Glove Strap was born, Idea designed, Product designed, NAMED and improved upon by 2 Fresno Firefighters and not just by the name of the City it is made in.  Born from the tradition of inventing better tools for the fire service from our Fire Department. This is our baby, we really like to show off our Fresno Glove Strap. We wanted a glove strap that sits below our turnout jacket when we were fully dressed out.  We did not like having to dig under our jacket with our SCBA on to find our gloves. With our idea, design and testing the Fresno Glove Strap was born. Now when you are fully dressed with SCBA and you have all your tools at the front door ready to go in, or on the roof ready to mask up and start cutting a hole, you know your gloves will be hanging below your jacket for easy access. Invented by and sold by Fresno Firefighters!

The Black Smoke Leather "Fresno" Glove Strap is made from full grain 10/11 oz. thick leather, quality hardware, and assembled with saddle grade copper rivets. In addition to the copper rivets, every piece of leather is stitched with nylon thread to prevent warping and stretching with extensive use. Unlike a conventional glove strap, our metal side release buckles will not warp or be damaged due to the extreme conditions in which they are put though daily. Our quality metal hardware will meet and rival any hardware that is currently used through out the industry. Designed with versatility in mind, both our Shorty and Fresno glove straps will accommodate any size and style of glove.
